    Plug-n-play slide release.

    This took about 60 seconds to install on my Ruger 1911 and it fit and works like a charm. I like the extended slide releases and safeties that make it easy to operate with my strong side thumb. Be aware to keep your support side thumb forward or you may trip it into slide lock accidentally. Practice, practice, practice.

    Not a drop in for my Kimber

    Required much filing and polishing to get it to work... definitely not a drop in part for my Kimber pro shadow.. after much frustration it now functions as it should.. I need another for another Kimber of mine, but I’ll look at an Ed Brown

    Must be custom fitted to an STI Egde

    This slide stop is extended both back towards the grip and outwards from the slide for quick and easy access. This extended slide stop does not fit an STI Edge without custom fitting. If you have a fine grinding wheel or a set of good files it can easily be made to fit over the STI's high grip panel. Grind slowly and check the fit often. Once fitted, it works great.

    Great and simple upgrade

    This is a simple, direct drop in part for your 1911 to upgrade it from a "standard" slide release to a slightly extended one. This makes it much easier to reach without changing your grip on the gun. Wilson is world renowned for their parts. You can't go wrong.

    great product!!

    The Wilson Combat extended slide release for 1911 .45's makes it so much easier to release the slide after reloading a magazine than the stock slide release, because you would almost have to use your left hand to release the slide with the stock slide release!
