It's velcro but better than nothing and cheaper
I originally try the one that bolts onto your rifle. But it will not work because it is too long and it will not let you engage a shell into your rifle the pump action will not go back far enough because the shell holder side saddle gets in the way with the metal mounting plate. But at least with the metal mounting plate 1 it gave you to 6 round cell holders this velcro one only gives you one I think it would have been nicer if they gave you two alsoI originally try the one that bolts onto your rifle. Is not "Universal" as claimed by manufacturer
This was purchased to go on a 870 Express Magnum. After getting it I thought the product itself was well made. When I began to install it I quickly found the major fault. Unless you have a tactical or shortened slide this product will not work. With the six round capacity it gets in the way bringing the slide fully back to operate the shotgun. These have a approximately 7 1/2" from barrel to butt stock. This product is just over 6" in length. Even mounting it all the way rearwards it would extend into the butt stock not allowing for a check weld or having the corner stick you in the face. I had to cut off two of the shell holders and rework everything a little to make it work. Unfortunately it will now just hold four rounds. I slapped this on an initially loved it
For the price and simplicity of design I thought this was great I put it on and went shooting unfortunately after a couple shots all of the shells stored on the shell holder were on the ground next to me. If you just want your gun to look cool this is a great product but if you want it to hold extra shells while you actually shoot then spend a little more . It's going in the garbage .

Very Poor Quality!!
Like others have said, I used it with my Shockwave and the shells fall right out!! In order to use it rather than throwing it away I used high quality fishing line and put stitches in to hold shells tighter. And it looks like I did too. Not happy
