Extremely Well-Built Bipod = Stable Shooting Platform
I will be honest, since the Magpul bipod came out I’ve been a bit hesitant to buy one. I’ve owned Atlas BT-210’s and Harris BLMS and Harris SL-M all really solid bipods, bur the polymer aspect of the Magpul left me doubtful as to its ruggedness and durability. All that said I recent built a 16” Rainier Arms barreled 308, with an Aero receiver set and a Troy Carbon Fiber MLOK rail. All in all it’s a pretty light rig so the last thing I wanted to do was to weigh the front end down more with a heavy bipod (esp. with a can). However I did some digging on the Magpul bipod and found that under the majority of that polymer is steel or aircraft grade aluminum. I also read some positive reviews by gun guys who ran the bipod hard and out it through some thorough testing and had positive things ... I will be honest, since the Magpul bipod came out I’ve been a bit hesitant to buy one. I also read some positive reviews by gun guys who ran the bipod hard and out it through some thorough testing and had positive things to say about it. So I started looking for a good deal. All the websites I checked priced the bipod right at $102 shipped even with my military discount. lol and behold I found a seller on eBay with an FDE Magpul MLOk bipod for quite a bit less than the other online retailers. I purchased the bipod and received the bipod in a timely manner and got it mounted to my Troy rail and the first weekend available I hit the range. The first thing I’ll comment on is that I can barely tell I have a bipod on my rifle. The weight is seriously negligible. At the range I dropped the legs, tested the pan and swivel and it worked perfectly. The large locking nut is easy to grab and tighten/loosen even when you’re behind the rifle. There is some “looseness” to the bipod but that is by design and meant so that you can put a load on it. I tested this and it flexed enough to take the load and but then it locked up and provided an excellent shooting base. Using the bipod I had zero issues getting hits at 300-620 us plates, both silhouette and 8 and 10” gongs. The plates were at different ranges both on the far left and right of the shooting lane approx 70 yards apart. With the bipod loaded (in case you aren’t familiar with this, loading is simply leaning into the bipod until your weapon is a stable platform) anyway bipod loaded I was able to keep it loaded and swing left and right engaging the steel plates without recording any misses (other than when I was working on my dope). I could not be more pleased with this bipod and my application. The only hesitation I might have is mounting this bipod on something like a 338 or a large caliber on a heavy chassis. As mentioned my 308 AR is relatively light compared for example to my 16” LMT MWS. It’s quite a bit lighter than that rifle actually. So if you’re on the fence about this bipod for your SPR or DMR, I would highly suggest you pick one of these up. The price point, especially for the quality you are getting make this and OUTSTANDING deal!

Flexibility Without Weight
Solid product as are all items in the Magpul line. Mounted on the Remington 700 Hunter stock in .243 Win. Provides stable loading on concrete bench and flexibility off turf. Accuracy now approaches that of my 40X at less than one-half the cost!

Incredible Bipod: A Must Have
In my humble opinion, you can't beat any Magpul product for superior quality and guaranteed performance. I bought this bipod to mount on Ruger AR556 MPR .450 Bushmaster because I needed something truly sturdy to support such a beast rifle. All of my furniture, sling, etc. on the Ruger AR556 MPR .450 Bushmaster is Magpul. Even so, I was still surprised when I received the bipod what top-notch construction it is. I would buy this product again and again.In my humble opinion, you can't beat any Magpul product for superior quality and guaranteed performance. This is Magpul flat dark Earth so it may not match other flat dark Earth just be warned. I like it because it adds a few different browns to the mix of my rifle. Pantone, FDE and pal-8000.

Great bipod!
Its very sturdy and has better adjustments than some more expensive models. In fact, its better than some military models. It's lightweight and the best bang for the buck if you are on a budget.
