Don’t spill Hoppe’s no 9
It’s a good mat just don’t spill any Hoppe’s No. 9 on it. The backing melts. That’s what happen with mine that I had for a long time. This was a replacement.

Not as pictured - maybe with time...
The "pad" is pretty thin felt-like material with a thin plastic backer. I was expecting a neoprene sort of pad based on the photos - but that is definitely not the case. The pad I received was full of wrinkles when I unrolled it. I shouldn't have to iron my pad to get it to look like it does on the ad - and ironing would probably destroy the flimsy plastic backer. Not like I hoped
This is a crappy mat, the backing is slick and doesn’t stick to the table as I had hoped, just used thumb tacks to hold in place , I got what I paid for, an 8 dollar piece of felt like material that I’m constantly having to pick the loose fibers off of any part I’m working on,
