I place Phase 5 V2 Battery Assist Devices on all my ARs and these half punches allow an easier install without marring my rifles finish and they are coated in a soft plastic which further prevents finish damage, scratches, and scuffs. The other items is that with this purchase one gets two punches for the same price as 1 Brownell half punch. Both are different, the larger having a hollow tip allowing the pin to be held while aiding pin insertion the smaller half punch makes finishing the pin insertion a snap.

No more worrying about scratched receivers from installing the roll pin on the bolt catch. Starter punch works great with a toothpick to align the holes and the pin punch sets the roll pin to just where it has to be. Just remember to lube all the parts prior to instillation.
