This review is based on a manufacturer issues. The first problem is the battery holder isn’t strong enough to hold the battery in place for installation . The second issue is mounting the unit with the suppled screws they didn’t offer a Torque key for the small Torque screws . but how ever the flat head key and the torque key that was supplied was in the factory bx along with a protective cover . So just be aware that if you have to use the small torque screws in the hardware package the suppled torque key will not fit the screws . All in all a great unit for the price. I have a TRIJICON rmr type 2 for another pistol and that unit didn’t come with a lot of extra like the vortex did for half the price . Im very impressed with this unit for the price point . I hope this help someone !

Packaged nicely , comes complete with a battery which is nice . More familiar with scopes I took this out of the package and was a little stumped . It didn't have a bottom ? That's my only con of the device that the battery chamber is open until installed . I get why they would do this to keep it as low and light as possible but just seemed off to me , however there is a rubber seal around the batter compartment to seal from moisture and dust . So OK I installed it on my little 22 and went to the range , There are 2 lock screws for adjustments ( dont forget that ) that are a little difficult for my old eyes and fingers but that nit picky . Adjustments were fine and easy and once I relocked the 2 screws it kept POA . The red dot is a little fuzzy to my eyes but in no way blurred too much . Held zero through 300 rds , all be it 22 . All in all for the money it seems to be a good valueRead full review

Only have testing it on a Canik TP9-SFX for about 100 rounds. The dot is easy to pick up and worrying about finding it due to recoil does not seem to be an issue. The hardest part is picking it up for the first shot after being used to using irons. The rubber cover that comes with it is actually pretty nice relative to plastic covers I've seen on other red dots.

Very good cost quality balance vortex items are back by life time warranty , it’s a plus to have the support of the company when something is wrong or broken I have it set up on my M&p and so far so good holds zero , since I got mine open box and what I consider a good deal around 150 I would advise to buy it new , also with mine I’ve noticed a lil bit of starburst not a clear dot like you would expect but not bad compared to others I’ve tested overall good optic can beat price with the warranty the give would recommend this sight for anything pistol , ar15 multi calibers possibly even a 12gauge I can only acct for what I’ve expirenced and I’m content , I will look at other red dots in my local gun store to verify the starburst other then that pull the trigger what u waiting on

Dot is easy to pick up when adjusted to moderately bright. As the brightness is lowered. The dot becomes harder for me to pick up in bright sunlight. The adjugh stment lock screws initially were extremely difficult to turn. Once loosened, they eventually turned freely. The Vortex pleasantly surprised me how quickly it zeroed and how well the adjustments held.. Sight is mounted on a Crossman 2240 air pistol and accuracy at 10 meters is excellent. All in all a good value.
