This kit saved my plinking experience!
I bought a Ruger MKII because I heard from several sources that it had the best stock trigger in the series and was a joy to shoot. While it is the most comfortable to shoot gun I own due to its weight and small cartridge, it would fail to extract after every 2-3 rounds! This is my first (and probably only) semiautomatic 22LR pistol so I was unaware of all the possible failures this underpowered round brings. After some internet research, I found this upgraded extractor and it has saved my shooting experience with this gun! I was originally shooting copper plated 22LR rounds (as they were the cheapest type I could find in the largest bulk) but was recommended Remington Golden Bullets for this model specifically. It does still jam about every 5 rounds with the copper plated but with the ... These parts work when original parts do not.
Nearly new 22/45 lite had a few misfires and extract / eject fails during brief first firing. Installed these parts and ran 100 rounds through it with no failures. Much better. I own a variety of Ruger 22 Mark 1234 pistols and 10/22 rifles. Some had no issues out of the box and still do not decades later. But I've needed to replace extractor and or firing pin on others that were not reliable even brand new. These Volquartsen parts fixed the problem. Installing extractor is tricky, a padded vice to hold the bolt really helps.Nearly new 22/45 lite had a few misfires and extract / eject fails during brief first firing. Improved function
The new firing pin and extractor work great on my Mark I. No more light strikes and no more ejection problems. I recommend these parts. Be sure you are able to disassemble, install and reassemble. The Mark series I though III are not know for their ease of assembly if you know what I mean. There are lots of YouTube videos to help though.

Works better than the origional parts in my Mark lll.
The Volquartsen Bolt Tune Up Kit works better than the original firing pin and extractor in my Ruger Mark lll Target pistol. I went to the range today and did not have any misfires using the same lot number of ammo the previously had an approximate 10% misfires.
