SAVAGE MAGAZINE
This is exactly what I wanted and needed to back up my Savage Edge in .30-06. Here in Alaska, limiting yourself to a handful (literally) of shots (5) may NOT be in your best interest. It just makes good sense to have an EXTRA magazine close at hand already loaded and ready to install in an instant. This magazine will do EXACTLY what I want it to do when I want and NEED it to do it. It is well made to give me the confidence and security knowing it WILL do the job for which it was intended. I am VERY pleased and satisfied knowing I have made a good investment in my rifle AND in my accessory magazine. Thanks to the good folks at Savage for setting and keeping the standards high. Better materials. The floor plate is suseptable to damage if accidently dropped. The retaining tabs are flimsy and are easily broken, which cause the magazine to not lock into place correctly. The rear clip on th steel portion of the magaszine is barely adequate to retain the rear of the magazine in the magazine well. It is a cheap magazine for a cheap rifle and in this case the old axiom fits, You get what you pay for.Better materials. The floor plate is suseptable to damage if accidently dropped. The product is original & of good quality. However, way too much money. I only paid about $200.00 for my rifle (savaage axis-basic rifle) with the rebates. I misplaced my magazine, but I found it after I purchased this one. I would not have bought it at this price if it was not needed. It's nice to have two, but not at this price. It was almost $40.00 one fifth of the rifle for a little tin item. I would love to know the mark up on this item. I give 5 stars because the item is original. I don't know if it is "awesome sauce" as the 5 star rating indicates.The product is original & of good quality. However, way too much money. These Savage magazines are an indispensable accessory for the 110 Series. Since they only hold four rounds, having an extra mag or two on hand in necessary to quickly reload the rifle. The long action version fits all 30-06 derivative calibers; the ones I bought were a perfect match for a new 110 Ultralite in 280 Ackley Improved.

Factory magazine, seems good quality, haven't fired it yet, high priced in my opinion.
It is a factory item, but seems overpriced for me. Also wish that the factory would make a 10 round magazine. At the moment the only way to get a larger capacity magazine is build it yourself or order from specialty machine shops.
