Pachmayr Diamond Pro Grip GP-100
This grip was initially very difficult to install until it was discovered that Ruger had made a change in the frame architecture of the newer GP100 revolvers. Thankfully, I had both a 175 series as well as a newer 178 series. The 175 was made before 2016, and the 178 was made 2016 to 2017. The two plus year old gun fits the grip perfectly. The newer one has a higher edge cutout on the backstrap on the frame and the pivot hole is higher cut. Diamond pro grip gp100
I'll start on the good part. This grip is extremely comfortable, and allows the gun to point naturally. One of the most comfortable grips I have tried (6th now) on my gp10. However I will not use the grip. The top right side of the grip has a flap of rubber that extends above the hard plastic undermolding. This flap is what covers the hammer pin. The flap is not sturdy enough to support the pin and can allow the pin to walk out or push out if the opposite side is bumped. Yes the pin most likely won't fall out,but I won't put faith in the grip that allows this much movement. You can easily pull the flap on both sides back while holstering the gun. I did email pachmyr suggesting a laminate version like their renegade grip. That would be the ideal grip!I'll start on the good part. Tried it out on my GP100 today
It absorbed recoil as it should, even with full-house .357 magnum loads. I like the feel of the non-slip checkering and the looks of this grip. I had to grind down the aluminum bushing that the screw passes through just a little; I think this is due to the uneven hole in the revolver's tang casting. No big deal.

Crappy grip
Received the grip, was much larger than the original. This is supposed to be a compact grip (it's not). The grip attachment hardware was also pretty crappy and the hole for the grip attachment did not function like it's supposed to. It's currently in my junk box and I spent twenty plus dollars for nothing. This ""IS NOT" the sellers fault but it is the MFG. error. The seller was stellar and I have no issues with them.Received the grip, was much larger than the original. This is supposed to be a compact grip (it's not).
