Outstanding piece of equipment. I made the mistake of purchasing one of the $25 sight pusher tools that sort of look like this but they do not in any way function like this tool. I have a PSA Dagger that was actually bending the low quality sight pusher and not moving the rear sight and then I got this tool and in less time than it took to set it up, I was done removing the rear blacked out sight and putting in night sights. Highly recommend you buy this one, one time and be done worrying.

    NCStar VISM Sight installation tool, Pusher

    Instructions are stamped on the housing along with center line and increments. Simply read them. I recommended dousing it down in WD-40 and letting it set for a while before using, also run all the adjustments in and out several times and before each use. Quality is good but I wouldn’t consider it a ‘precision tool’. Check all the adjustment wheels and snug them with the included Allen wrench, one of mine wasn’t tightened at all and was loose in the box. A good oiling and work out should remove any burrs or imperfect threads. Take your time and don’t force it, it could break. If it feels like it’s binding up, stop and check your work.. it should work with just your hands. I’ve seen some pics of some wrecked sights and I just have to think someone should have paid to have the work done. ...

    Good Design, Stength Needs Iimprovement

    I liked the functionality of tool unfortunately the top piece broke during the removal of my first sight. It was an XD40 which I hear is known for its sight removal difficulty. However, the description states it works with XD models. The tool I felt was made well and easy to use. And would recommend it for less stubborn sights. It's just not sufficient to deal with tough sight removals.

    Modified for xd front ,tru glo tritium

    Hammered off stock sights very tight,on xd,used this to push tritium vial so wont void warranty, great,but had to modify to clear to push front tritium sight ,once I die grinded a bit it gave clearance, wish it pushed the dovetail ,but all is well,you can see in pic just unscrew the bottom wheel ,couldnt really use the top clamp,only the sides,and this was just to reinstall,not to remove the original front

    Rear Site remover

    This product delivered as advertised. The construction was solid and easy to use. This was my first attempt to remove/replace my sites on a gun. The most time consuming part for me was aligning tool to the lowest part of the rear site without dragging the tool across the top of the frame. I did not know HOW secure the rear site was attached so I wanted to capture as much of the rear site as possible when attempting removal. There was a pop when it released, scared me momentary, NO damage - WHEW!!!. The removal and installation went smoothly. For the money, great choice.

    AN easier way to remove and replace dovetail sights

    I received my sight push tool in vary good order. I have used it once to remove the rear sight on a 1911 type slide. it worked like it was supposed to.It sure beats pounding it out with a punch and a hammer. I am going to mount it on a base so it will easier to use.
