This holster - although described as an M1881 - does not fit the Schofield revolver, as it should. Overall, a very well-made holster for the price. Personally, I couldn't make my pistol fit, even after wet-forming it. While I have no doubt it's made to original specifications, I think the repop firearms some of us use (denix, etc.) are probably a bit off. The back loop was too narrow for the belt as well. I removed and repositioned the flap and the belt loop, and it's fine now. Personally, I would add a 1/4" to the length of the flap, and a full 1" to the belt loop...just my two cents.
