Good production of Questionable Product
This Hoge Tamer is well made, slightly over-sized and made with a nice heavy quality rubber, so it is easy to hold and easy to grip. It provides a nice commforatable hold. However, I'm not sure why you would ever want this set up unless you were just trying to get the shortest possible length. You have much less control of your shots when you don't have a stock, you cannot effectively manage the recoi or the flip whihc leaves you with a very poor set up for follow up shots. All of these are secondary observations (obviously). The product itself is excellent, the productino is very good. I've been happily surprised to see Hogue turn out one quality product after another. I thought they would go quickly to a cheaper, easier plastice...but they have not. Good product. Just not my preferred formate for shooting a shotgun.Read full review

I have a Mossberg 500 410 home defense shotgun. That is why I wanted this pistol grip and forend. I have ground down the grip to make it work but there is no chance of getting the forend to work. Directions did not say it would only fit the 12 gauge.

Hogue = great quality
Hogue has a good reputation, and for good reason. This product is no different, it seems to be of very good quality. This product has a great non-slip feel to it and appears to be rugged. I really expect this product to have a long life. The only complaint I have is there is no plug or cover for the hex head screw that holds the grip onto the gun. That would give it a more finished look. Overall, I definitely would recommend the product.

Good grip set but not for everyone
The good: excellent gripping even when wet Well made and perfect fitment. Shortens your shotgun overall about 10". The bad: not recommended to use sights as normal, the recoil will push the receiver into your face. The safety and slide release buttons are not nearly as accessable. You have to roll your hand or the gun to access the controls. The length to the trigger from the web of your hand is longer than some may prefer. If you like the cruiser style this is the best option in my opinion. If you just want to change up your shotgun style know the drawbacks before buying.

Great feel
The rubberized forend is night and day from the stock pastic. Much easier to hold and way better control of the shotgun. Just ordered from mossberg a slide action tube so i can replace the plastic one piece forend on my maverick and order another hogue forend for that gun also. Very pleased.
