I purchased the Hogue grip model 43000 for my Springfield Armory EMP knowing I would need to make minor modifications to make it fit perfectly. I used a dremel rotary sanding bit to make clearances needed around the safety on both sides of the gun and around the magazine release plate on the right side of the gun. The entire process to replace the existing grip and modification to the Hogue grip was easy and fast (took me 20 minutes start to finish). I really like the look of my factory grips but the Hogue grip fits my hand perfectly and I have found that I shoot with slightly better accuracy using the Hogue grip. This grip provides better control of muzzle flip allowing for faster sight acquisition for 2nd shot. This is important to me because this is my every day carry weapon. I highly recommend this grip as a replacement for the stock grips on the Springfield Armory EMP.Read full review

I bought the grips for the Colt New Agent, which has thin scales. The screws which came with the pistol are not long enough to attach the Hogue grips. It would have been nice to include some longer. I think I will like the grips, but first I have to track down the hardware.

I hated to take off the elegant wood grips from my 1911 because of the LOOK of the 1911 lines.... BUT you don't shoot or manage recoil or protect yourself with wood grips, that comes from the other end of the gun. I have found Hogue grips to be so effective on my guns that I LOVE them. The subcompact 1911 did not allow much effective use of my little finger in control of the gun. The Hogue grip gave that back to me. It not only gave back the "pinkie" grip but it is like flypaper in my hand. WOW what a difference. It still looks good, maybe not as pleasing as wood grips on the 1911 but as I said, when it comes down to it, it is a tool and needs to be used as effectively as possible. Thanks Hogue. There will be more in my future-----------

I love pretty much every Hogue Grip I've tried. I bought these for a .45 compact. Don't get me wrong, I like the factory grips. But these are much more comfortable and cushion you from any recoil. I recommend Hogue for any grip change for any gun.

Hogue grips are the best for shooting. They provide a good grip and tame the recoil of larger calibers and short barrel pistols. I use them on several different revolvers and semi automatics. The price is very inexpesive for the value. I replaced some aggressive textured grips on a .45 with a 3" barrel and my hands are still thanking me.
