Seems very solid so far, I bought it to tap out R-8 collets from a Bridgeport mill, I thought it might be too heavy but it works great for that purpose. This hammer has the good craftsmanship you would expect from an American made tool. After using a wrench to tap the draw bar for around twenty five years I bought this because my new employees seem to have a hard time hitting the draw bar with a wrench and are using other items such as larger hammers, dead blow hammers, steel bars and probably other items and knocking the head out of alignment. Teaching these idiots how to use any tool is a chore by itself but this hammer will at least save some damage and wear and tear to my mills. Though I have never had any trouble using a single 3/4" wrench to both loosen and tap out collets this hammer is easier to use and when you're trying to teach uncoordinated twenty-somethings that don't know the difference between a wrench and a ratchet how to use any tool easy is always a good thing. I think this hammer can withstand much of their abuse, my nerves may not hold up as well. Read full review
