The S&W SD9VE is a great "starter gun" for a new shooter like me, and a great value. ... The S&W SD9VE is a great "starter gun" for a new shooter like me, and a great value. Some people don't like the trigger, but the only thing that's bugged me about the pistol is the takedown lever, which is nearly flush with the frame and hard to get a grip on with one hand while moving the slide with the other. Made it a real chore to clean it after a range trip. The Deltac replacement is just ENOUGH bigger than the original to make it easy to work. Fantastic item, does exactly what it needs to. Best and cheapest functional upgrade you can do on this gun. The experience of installing it gave me the confidence to order the Apex trigger and spring kit as my next project.

The difference between this and the stock OEM part is insane. It's all in the angle ... The difference between this and the stock OEM part is insane. It's all in the angle of the grip of the bar. It almost took 2 people to take down my Sigma. I purchased this piece and literally less than 2 minutes to install and I can take or down in seconds and with the two hands I was intended to have. No need for the third hand or the second person. The difference is unbelievable. If you have ever had to fight to take down your weapon you seriously need to try one of these. There is nothing to installing it, just push down on the spring and use the new bar to push the old one through and it's done. Clean and put your slide back on.

Is the a Nobel prize for gun part functionality? If there is the guy who thought of it deserves one and these people deserve a prize for making a quality, well fitting and REASONABLY priced one. I paid double for another brand is this one is much better. Try it, guaranteed you will not regret it.
