When I purchased my GT Carbon Fiber bike in 2010, it came with Vittoria Rubino Pro III tires. I always purchased the same brand. I always felt like I should keep the same brand. My most current tires are the Vittoria Rubino Pro Control IV Graphene 2.0 which are supposed to be for "The Worst Road Condition". They are getting very expensive and I got two flats. So, I started shopping. After one ride, my initial opinion is they are just as good for 1/2 the price for my Vittoria Rubino Pros. I'm not sure how they will handle road hazards, but a few reviews mentioned them as one of the best. The ride is a little softer on the bumps, although, it could be that the tire inflation is max 125 lbs vs the Vittoria at 145 lbs. They may be a tad slower and again it could be the lower tire inflation. But overall, as long as the puncture resistance is there, and as long as they last a long enough time, I will continue to use these tires going forward. These are the 120 TPI version which is a dual compound thread. The Vittorias are 150 TPI. Read full review
