I have used the Butler Creek Hot Lips 10/22 Loader twice thus far. I have used it with BX-10, BX-15, and BX-20 original factory magazines. It definitely speeds up loading. It is a little finicky, so I suggest watching videos of how to use it on YouTube. It needs to be held at the correct angle to function optimally, and it takes some time and attempts to find the correct angle. Another important note, don't force the round by cranking hard on the handle, as this will dent the casing and/or bend the round, making it useless and not safe to shoot. Back off, shake a bit, then try to feed the round again. Takes a little getting used to, but once you have used it a couple of times, you figure out the torque and rhythm needed to load rounds fairly continuously. Does hold 50 rounds, but only 25 at a time in the actual feed tube. Again, works pretty well, definitely speeds up loading, but does take some getting used to in order to use it most efficiently. Would be nice if it popped apart and went back together easily for cleaning and clearing.Read full review

I have tried it with multiple mags and ammo types. It just doesn't work very well and even when you do find a mag and ammo it likes you have to hold everything just right to function. I bought this to help my disabled Father load mags. He has a hard time loading small .22lr rounds and pushing them against spring pressure. Well this contraption that basically requires a third hand to operate it does not help him out any. It also will occasionally damage the cartridge.

It works fairly well but requires a little shaking and rocking the knob to get it to work on the different Ruger mags. Still much better than loading by hand in the conventional way. It requires a little patience, so if you don't have it, this may frustrate you. Still the best thing going.

This device works, but you must be careful. The rounds are easily aligned in the hopper. You must develop a "feel" for turning the knob to insert the rounds in the magazine. Mine worked on the Hot Lips plastic mags and original Ruger mags. If you brute force the device, it will dent the rounds and probably break.

Kind of a quirky design and very flimsy plastic construction behind a product which seems well designed, if not well built. It works, but only with some figuring out by finagling the wheel. It is definitely a "load, turn the wheel, and your set" kind of product, but it beats hand loading the banana clips.
