Got this to lighten my setup for steel challenge/NSSF Rimfire. It's definitely light. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, so not sure if I like it better or not... but seems to pull up and swings fast. Ergonomics are good, and there are aftermarket cheek risers and finger grooves to make it better. Be warned thougj, it did take a bit of modifications (especially in the trigger guard area) to fit my Kidd action correctly. You also won't be able to use the extended speed mag release lever because it will touch the handgrip.

The action fits very tight in the stock. With the sliding stock extended it is a little loose. Not much support when extended. I had to beef up the fore end of the stock. It flexed a lot. I fiber glassed a peace of alum. into it and made it a solid for end. Then cut the bottom of the for end to install a Anschutz accessory rail which was drilled and taped to the for end. For use with a bipod, palm rest for offhand shooting or any other item you want to install on your rifle. So far it is working good. But its not my Anschutz rifle. But makes a great training rifle for the children I teach. I also installed Anschutz sights and a target bull barrel from Brownells and a one pound pull trigger from KIDD The kids now shoot it much better than before.

I purchased this stock to do a short LOP, ultra light 10/22 with a carbon fiber barrel for my 11yo daughter that is small for her age. The stock looks nice, with decent finish and has good ergonomics with the adjustable butstock useful for all family members, however the forearm is totally insufficient for a bipod. It flexes and bends way too easily for stability in precision shooting. I am a Plastics Engineer and can say they did a very poor job of designing the ribbing inside the stock to promote rigidity and they probably should have used a higher glass fiber content in the resin to stiffen it. I had to add two 200 mm lengths of 10mm diameter carbon fiber tubes, potted in epoxy (with 30% micro balloons added) to stiffen the front end without a lot of weight so a bipod could be used without it flexing all over the place. I also had to add 1/2" of stiff foam to build up a check rest for the scope even with low rings. We shoot small metal animal targets out to 200m so stability is key for a gòod sight picture. The reinforcements added about 3 oz to the stock; for a total of 5lbs 12 oz. on my build. Unless you need a really short stock for your kids/family, I would look elsewhere. The Archangel 10/22 stock I took off has much better rigidity, with adjustable LOP and is very good for me, but is too long LOP for youth. This one can be made to work, if you are willing to modify it... Read full review

I upgraded my 10/22 with the axiom stock, a hammer forged ruger 20 .920 barrel, and tigers trigger group, I was surprised how easy it was to fit the action and barrel with the new stock. It went right together with no modification needed, and the first time out I was shooting 3/4 " groups at 70 yds would definitely recommend the axiom stock to anyone upgrading their 10/22
