This product is on of the best on the market. I have been using rig for 45 years. I use it on all my guns, The nice thing about it is you put a thin coat on,and its good for a long long time. you can pick your guns up touching the metal and just put them away again . I keep the same rag just adding to it , the older the rag the more saturated it is and the less rig you have to use . Its a great protector for sure. The biggest problem is it's hard to find , it use to be in all gun shops and sporting good stores but recently i have only found it online. So i bought the big jar . Enough to last me another 45 years.

I've used RIG (Rust Inhibiting Grease) for the last 30 years. It was first marketed in 1935, and is mentioned in firearms and handloading guides. It applies and removes easily, a thin film will keep ANY metal corrosion-free. It became pretty difficult to come by a few years back, VERY happy that Birchwood Casey picked up the product line.

Great stuff. I've been using it since I was a kid. My dad also swore by it. It would be nice to buy four 3 oz containers at the same price so I could divide it up among my gear.

I have used this product for at least 30 years maybe more. I am always amazed at how it will prevent rust. I've wiped the bore and the outside of the gun and never any rust after years even. One of the great products in the world.

Buying the large size is the best way to go. I have a cleaning set-up at my cabin as well, so I need a greater amount. This is a really good product. Nothing negative to say.
