It is finished in black and looks very authentic. It is not lightweight it is close to a 45 acp 1911 Government in weight. Very rugged and should last a long time. trigger pull is reasonable, and thumb safety works well. Grip safety requires a hefty squeeze to fire. Accuracy is excellent at 25ft so far. All in all I really like it and it fits my kydex holster just like the real thing.
