I just found out by buying this item that there are 3 different type bases. Unfortunately this one wouldn't fit my Llama, but now know there are 3 different types and know which one to look for.

I ordered two new Llama III 380 magazines made by Triple-K. One was bent (deformed) on the front edge that it would not go into the pistol at all! The second one did go into the pistol as it was suppose to but would not lock up with the magazine catch. The dealer was quick and did send me a replacement magazine (not a Triple-K) but it would go into the pistol but like the Triple-K that did go into the pistol, it too would not lock up. I kept the two magazines that would slide into the pistol and hope when I get time, I can find why they will not lock up. The original Llama magazines do lock up so I am surprised that especially the Triple-K products would not work well. I've had good luck with other Triple-K products but these magazines from them missed the mark.

Worked OK after I did some fitting. Didn't before. Called maker. He was great to deal with! during fitting I found issues with both gun and magazines to be filed and fitted to fix the problem. After doing so, and test firing it, all is now well. Not at all ideal, but satisfactory resolution. Cost me some time so my customer some cash, though, for swhat should have been a no-issue.

The last 2-3 rounds would not feed. There was not enough tension in the spring to push the last rounds into position correctly. I did not have the catch fitting issues other people have complained about. The clip loaded and secured just fine out of the package. I didn't need to have it fitted to my pistol. I did disassemble the clip and make sure the spring was in the correct position. This did not fix the problem either.

Product needed a little minor fitting to work in the old Llama gun. Once adjusted, works perfectly. These old guns were never precision to begin with, and being over 50 years old, its amazing any parts can be found to fit. At least in my case, a little "gunsmithing" was required - the magazine catch notch on the fight side had to be opened up a little so the mag would seat correctly. This issue is probably different from gun to gun, due to the mediocre quality control of the original pistols. But they work, and that's what counts.
